As I sat beside the window gazing at night sky,I realised that the sky was also missing its moon today.
I still remember the day she came to my life and filled it with light,I was not just that mere star in her life,we were thousands in her life but she was the only one for each one of us.
After being disowned by our own parents,it was she who adopted us,fed us,taught us,loved us more than this world.
She never treated us like we were some different or some special breed of humans.
She told us we may have some distinct traits but that doesn't make us less human.
They say mother is someone who always has a heart for her child and she fights the world for her children but in mine my case it was totally opposite.
As a child I always wondered why was I disowned by my parents especially my mother, why didn't she fought for me.
Oh yes,let me introduce myself.
I am Vineeta.
I was born as a boy,but I liked to be dressed as a girl.
Other children in school didn't accepted me and even their parents had problem with me studying with their wards.
As a child I felt so left out and deprived of my rights.
My mother,Ranjana Maa accepted me and others who were also like me and were not accepted as a human by this ungrateful society.
She made us fell in love with ourselves, made us study and do things we loved.
She use to say if you want to be a part of this society raise your standards, and make these people feel shameful for their deeds, one day.
Today,we are a society of 1 lakh people,we cater to the needs of people of our community be it related to studies, music, fashion,or anyone who needs us.
Maa is my moon, but she left us a month ago.
She fought fiercely with cancer, kept smiling till her last breath and even started a charitable trust for cancer patients.
It doesn't matter who you are what you are, afterall we all are the creation of that one might God and we have no right to bring down any one or question anyone's existence or disown someone.
Real humans are the one's who accept everyone as one and support each other.
I hope my story leaves you with a thought or say a question mark,at the back of your mind and in future this won't happen with any other Vineeta.
Thank you for reading.
